My home is my fortress
The iron gate to our ginnel (that's a fancy English word for a covered passageway between terraced houses) needed some TLC (that's a fancy English acronym for 'tender loving care').
The day had come that the tin of alternative 'Hammerite' paint (Fortress, from B&Q) was going to be put to good use.
Beforehand, the gate needed a light sanding to remove the surface rust:
