Gemuetlichkeit 'country style'
Slowly, slowly, our house is starting to look a little more like we'd imagined it could.
The stove has been installed (and used!), the walls have been repaired (note my immaculate plastering around the window, see how it was before) and re-painted, and the architrave (sometimes known as the moulding) has been reinstated (just needs painting). Skirting still needs fixing to the wall and the radiator has to go back. Looks easy, afterwards...
The three 'bundles' above the fireplace are lemon balm to fight the mosquitoes, but it doesn't seem to work - each morning, I wake up feeling like I've donated to the blood bank.
