Certainly Wood - kiln dried firewood de luxe - and how to store wood in a round pile
A lorry as big as our house.
The huge sack of firewood from Certainly Wood teleported onto the curb. No actually, it was quite a tricky affair, but the delivery driver was an absolute pro. After repositioning the lorry (a question of millimetre accuracy), the manual forklift truck landed directly on the pavement, rather than on the road - that meant no curb to drag it up.
We knew that the delivery wasn't going to be put anywhere near where we'd store the wood, as there are stairs and stairs in the way. So we used the black waste bin - thank you Mr Delivery Driver for the tip, I don't know what we'd have done without you. We filled it up about ten times, and wheeled it up and down the stairs to the back (thank you, other half).
Doing the paperwork.
Thank you, young man. We'd have you deliver anything to us, at any time.
Konni's first 'finne' or 'Holzmiete', as it's called in Germany. That's a round pile of wood that stands all by itself (at least we hope). I found very good instructions for this on a German blog here: Villa Hildegard.
