Shelf life

The OH found a shelf, tucked away between rubbish bins.

It's exactly what I've been trawling eBay et al for, for the past couple of years.

It's lovely, but woodworm thought so too. The top board is almost complete mush, but the rest is okay. We wonder if it can be saved.

 

First, I thought that the eye mounts at the back were two different types, but actually one was just put on the wrong way around...

Here's a bit more woodworm, but the rest is sound...

 

 

A nice old repair...

 

If we do keep it, then the question is 'how high should it go'?

I've scrubbed it and I am letting it dry outside - and freeze - in the hope that might shoo away the little timber-eating devils.
