Solid oak bathroom shelves - dream the impossible dream

Three carpenters told me that making solid oak bathroom shelves would be a bad idea. They'd warp. Too expensive, etc. So with the help of an amazing friend who'd just undertaken some woodwork training and who (luckily) grossly underestimated the time it would take us to build this thing, we did it ourselves. More pictures and text to follow (eventually), including information about tung oil and how we used it to treat the beautiful English oak timber.
